Welcome to a shop like no other – a shop entirely dedicated to gay art. Not gay art as a niche, but as a heartfelt cause. Founded by a man who, in 1982 in Germany, published one of the first books on homosexual life – "Schwulenbuch – Lieben, kämpfen, leben" (The Gay Book – Loving, fighting, living) – and who has since never stopped making homosexual visibility his mission.

Our shop is a greeting to all gay men in Italy, not just to the gay community in Rome, Milan, and Florence, but across the entire country; there are many of us, and we are everywhere. We are with you for visibility and identity. That's why we deliver all products – wall art, mugs with gay motifs, and home decor – directly to your home at good prices.

Italy has an extraordinary art history – from Michelangelo to Leonardo, from Caravaggio to Botticelli. Caravaggio himself was homosexual – yet the love between men never openly appeared on his canvases. Why? Because the world wouldn't allow it. KUNSTWERK BILDER brings it to light.

We think of the great masters who shaped the history of European art and culture. Claude Monet painted light. Renoir painted tenderness. Van Gogh painted longing. Chagall painted love. But homosexual men? They never appeared on any canvas. Not because they didn't exist – but because the world wouldn't allow it.
