Tips for Your Perfect CSD 2026
Plan early: Hotels in Berlin, Cologne, and Munich in particular book up quickly during the major CSDs. Book in good time!
Prepare your outfit: Rainbow colors are a must! Whether it's a T-shirt, flag, or a full glitter outfit - the main thing is to be colorful and confident.
Don't forget sun protection: Most CSDs take place in the height of summer. Pack sunscreen, sunglasses, and something to cover your head.
Celebrate with friends: CSD is most fun in a group! Make plans with your loved ones and celebrate together.
Show respect: CSD is a political demonstration for equality and visibility. Celebrate freely, but respect the significance of the event.
Why CSD Is More Than Just a Party
Sure, CSD is enormous fun - but don't forget: it's about much more! Every parade is a statement for equality, acceptance, and visibility for the LGBTQIA+ community. We celebrate the progress we've made and keep fighting for the rights that are still missing.
It all began in 1969 with the Stonewall riots in New York - when queer people first stood up against police violence and discrimination. That courage and determination remain the foundation of every Pride parade around the world to this day.
