Welcome to a shop unlike any other – a shop dedicated exclusively to gay art. Not gay art as a niche, but as a passion. Founded by a man who published one of the first books about gay life in Germany in 1982 – „Schwulenbuch – Lieben, kämpfen, leben" (The Gay Book – Loving, Fighting, Living) – and who has never stopped making gay visibility his mission.

This shop is a greeting to all gay men in the US – not just the community in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago or San Francisco, but across the entire country. We are many and we are everywhere. We stand with you for visibility and identity. That's why we deliver all our products – wall art, mugs with gay motifs and home decor – directly to your door.

Why We Almost Didn't Come

We'll be honest with you: we debated for a long time whether to expand into the United States right now. The political climate in parts of your country is hostile to gay visibility, gay art and gay identity. Laws that restrict what can be shown, what can be said, what can be seen.

We decided to come anyway – because we didn't want to withhold our vision of gay art and gay identity from the community in America. You deserve to see art that reflects who you are. Art that was never painted. Art that celebrates gay love, gay desire, gay pride – without apology.

We have made one decision in return: we have blocked access to our shop in states where anti-gay legislation makes our presence legally or ethically untenable. Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas are not our market – not because we don't care about the gay men who live there, but because we do.
